Ostomy Contact a Stoma Care Nurse

The Secure StartSM service gives you access to a wealth of information including clinical support and advice. If you have lost touch with your stoma care nurse and would like to reconnect with them, then we will work hard to put you back in touch. Alternatively, the dedicated Secure StartSM nurses are available to help you with clinical advice regarding anything stoma related, and will support you with any questions you may have.

Our service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, an independent regulator of health and social care. This means they make sure the care or advice you receive from us will be safe, effective, compassionate and of high quality.

Over the past 12 months, we have heard that many people living in our communities may be feeling isolated or experiencing stoma related clinical problems such as sore skin. Many have told us they don't want to burden the NHS, given the current pandemic. Through our Secure StartSM team of dedicated practicing nurses and advisors, we can help to solve these problems (and with your permission) keep your stoma care nurse up to date with your care.

It is important for you to know that although we have our own range of stoma bags and accessories, you do not have to be using a Hollister or Dansac pouch to participate in this service, or to reach out for clinical advice from a dedicated stoma care nurse, working within our service.

Please complete the following information with as much detail as possible, and one of our dedicated stoma care nurses will respond to you directly.

If you require urgent medical assistance, please contact your GP or your local hospital. As part of the Secure StartSM service, we aim to respond to all stoma related clinical questions directed to a stoma care nurse, within 72 hours.
